Digital Photography

Topics this week: PANORAMAS, HORIZON, RED-EYE

This is the view off our deck. I stitched together 5 photos using Perspective Projection, Smooth Blend and Small Output.
I should have removed my bird feeder, which hangs out off my deck railing. It disturbs the view of the water behind our dock.

Below I corrected the horizon (water line). I drew a line across the photo at the water line - the angle was 91.5 degrees. I subtracted 90 degrees and used the remainder - 1.5 degrees - as the degree of rotation (left) in the Image Rotate window.
Of course, I had to crop the corrected photo back to a rectangle, making it smaller. This correction should be done before stitching the photos together.

This photo is a view of the homes across the cove from us - taken from a different viewpoint.
I stitched together six photos using Perspective Projection, Smooth Blend and Medium Output. The photo was really too wide to
view easily so I reduced the size by 50% - much better. I also used Quick Fix - I like the result.

Ron, another good lesson -- you have out done yourself!
